Am I at Osteoporosis risk?

Osteoporosis is more deadly, especially for elderly women: Dr. Suresh Arora

Faridabad/Alive News : Osteoporosis is considered a silent disease, because there are often no telltale symptoms until a fracture occurs. Basically it is an old ager disease, in which the bones become weak and are more likely to break. People with osteoporosis most often break bones in the hip, spine, and wrist.
Who Gets Osteoporosis?
See it too common disease in India, Millions of people either already have osteoporosis or are at high risk due to low bone mass. Osteoporosis can occur in both men and women and at around 40 to 45 years passed, but it is the most common in older women. Let me tell you again this disease is not found in lower age people.

However, women are m tors. Women have less bone mass than men, tend to live longer and take in less calcium. In women, the rate of bone loss speeds up after menopause, when estrogen levels fall.

Drinking alcohol. Too much alcohol can cause bone loss and broken bones.

Different between Arthritis & Osteoporosis
See, both arthritis and osteoporosis can affect seniors, but many do not understand the difference between the two. Osteoarthritis is a joint disease that causes pain in the hips, knees, neck, back, or hands, while osteoporosis bones lose their density and become more brittle.
