Art and Craft workshop held at DAV NH3 School

Faridabad/ Alive News: An eco-friendly, art and craft workshop was organised in D.A.V Public School, NH3, on 18 December 2017 by the team of a newspaper for the budding artists of classes VI, VII and XI.
The workshop was conducted by an extremely talented artist Sushil Kumar who taught the art of Madhubani as well as Papier mache to the students. Madhubani being the most innovative and a traditional art was explained by using fingers, twigs, brushes, nib pens, match sticks, natural dyes and pigments. On the other hand, the waste material was used to teach the art of Papier mache. It was just another way to say no to plastic materials. Harmful effects of plastics were also discussed – encouraging the students to use environment friendly materials. They also enlightened the children about the use of natural colours from our immediate surroundings.
All in all it was a knowledgeable experience and exposure for the students to the creative world. The event saw a great enthusiasm among the kids.
At the end, the Principal, Jyoti Dahiya appreciated the efforts of the newspaper team as well as the children for being wonderful learners.
