Cancer awareness programme conducts at D.C Model School

Faridabad/ Alive News: A seminar for creating Cancer Awareness, Prevention and Early Detection for the students of Classes IX to XII was conducted in D.C Model Senior Secondary School’s premises on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the DASS Auditorium in which Sunita Harkar Shaala, the Chief Co-ordinator from CAPED was the chief guest.  She was given a warm welcome by the school director Pawan Kumar Gupta.

It was a shock to hear that nearly eighty thousand women per year lose their precious life due to cancer as the women of our society are least concerned about their own personal health and hygiene.  India has the unwanted distinction of being the country with the largest incidence of cervical cancer which is caused by HPV virus and is completely preventable through use of a vaccine and regular scanning.

The principal of the school Dr. Jyoti Gupta thanked Sunita Harkar Shaala for conducting such an informative session.
