Five probable Dengue cases identified, health department said we are eyeing

Faridabad/Alive News: With the beginning of rainy season five probable cases of Dengue has been confirmed by the health department after Malaria in the city. It shows that now dengue has hit to the city. However, blood sample of the patients has been sent to testify and dengue will be confirmed after their reports come. Before this, four cases of Malaria have been confirmed. This matter of dengue created flutter in the health department. The department has driven fogging and sampling campaign in respective areas. The four patents are under treated here at civil hospital, while remaining one is treating in private hospital.  A team of Malaria department is in contact with parents of patient continue, who is admitted in a private hospital. Apart from this, mosquito drug has been sprayed around 50 houses of all suspects patients. Simultaneously, the patients have been order to make blood slide. Significantly, Village Kairali is still remaining sensitive concerns over dengue-malaria disease. But despite all attempt to the department these disease are not able to stop there. Last year most of cases had been noted in the village.

Signs and symptoms of dengue fever most commonly include:

Fever, as high as 106 F (41 C)

Headaches

Muscle, bone and joint pain

Pain behind your eyes

You might also experience:

Widespread rash

Nausea and vomiting

Rarely, minor bleeding from your gums or nose

Prevention of Dengue

To eliminate standing water:

Unclog roof gutters;

Empty children’s wading pools at least once a week;

Change water in birdbaths at least weekly;

Get rid of old tires in your yard, as they collect standing water;

Empty unused containers, such as flower pots, regularly or store them upside down;

Drain any collected water from a fire pit regularly.

“Blood sample of all suspected patients has been sent to laboratory test and dengue will be confirmed after their reports come. Apart from this, as a precautionary manner we have done fogging all nearby homes of patients. The district Malaria department has issued an anti-larva activity to curb Malaria and Dengue disease. Moreover, fogging will also be started in the first or last week of month July. This time responsibility to fogging has been handed to the Municipal Corporation and the Malaria department will only help to the Municipal Corporation.”
