IMA Faridabad protest against CE act, handed over a memorandum

Faridabad/ Alive News: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Faridabad observed total Shutdown of Medical Services in Faridabad,to protest against the Clinical Establishment act by government of Haryana today. All the corporate hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and diagnostic centers participated. About 400 doctors assembled at BK Chowk at Dharna site. A protest march was also taken from there to the Neelam Chowk and then back. During this, memorandum to the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Health Minister was handed over to the City Magistrate, Belina Rana.

The shutdown was supported and participated by Indian Dental Association, AYUSH association and Lab Technician association. However, Dr Suesh Arora IMA President, Faridabad while talking to mediapersons said his main demand is that this act should not be implemented at all. If Govt still wants to implement this act, then the Amended Haryana Clinical Establishment act ,agreed upon by IMA and Govt earlier,sholud be implemented. If the Central act is implemented ,then treatment cost of patients will increase many times. The Smaller Nursing Home will have to be Closed Down, where Poor people will go for affordable treatment?. There will be inspector Raj and License Raj and there will be unemployment of the already employed paramedical Staff.

Dr Suresh Arora siad this Shut down has been observed all over Haryana. Gathering at Dharna Site was addressed by Dr Anil Goyal, Dr P C Seth, Dr R N Rastogi, Dr Punita Hasija, Dr Sanjay Tuteja, Dr Akshat Nayyar, Dr Naresh Jindal, Dr Rashi Tuteja, Dr Rakesh Kapoor, Dr Maninder Ahuja, Dr. B.K Sharma, Dr Aashish Gupta (from IDA), Dr Gyanendra, Sehpathi (Ayush). Dr Narinder Ghai and Dr Arup Kundu, Dr Bharti Gupta, Dr lalit Hasija, Dr A K Bakshi, Dr PS Ahuja, Dr Rajiv Gumber, Dr C K Mishra, Dr Kapil Bhatia, Dr Nisha Kapoor, Dr O P Rakesh, Dr R D Negi, and many Doctors from Nursing Homes, Metro Hospital, Asian Hospital, QRG Hospital, Sarvodhya Hospital and Fortis Hospital were also present.
