Independence day celebration held in heritage global school


Faridabad /Alive News : Heritage Global School, celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with gusto. The entire school was festooned with colours of the Indian flag. The corridors were decorated with various works of art by students. The celebration commenced with flag hoisting by Dr. Manish Jain, the honorable chief guest, an eminent scholar, working with United Nations Development Program .

The audience sang national anthem in respect and reverence to pay the tribute towards the flag. The women audience was invited to join the falg hoisting to mark Women Empowerment and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao. The plethora of cultural events revolving around patriotism, demonstrated how mass movements had taken place during freedom struggle.

To witness the programme the school Manager (Mr. Afzal) , Principal (Mrs. Rakhi Verma), Sarpanch of Bijopu(mr Nasir Khan) and parents of the students were present. In his speech, the chief guest told the students to develop patriotic feelings . He told the students to be proud of their motherland.

Tiny tots of the pre-primary classes held an enactment and dance presentation of patriotic leaders and songs respectively. Children of junior and senior wing sang melodious patriotic songs enthralling everyone with nationalism . The school students presented a ballet ‘SANGHARSH’ where great personalities of yesteryear were remembered by the present day generation. Dances were choreographed to spread the message of unity in diversity and peace.

Pre-primary children dressed up as freedom fighters brought the entire audience to their feet. A skit on Indian pioneers, Bhagat Singh saw good participation from the students. Kite flying activity was conducted for the parents in which they participated enthusiastically .The school also organized the plantation activity where each class planted one plant on the name of the Kargil War Martyrs .

The Principal , Mrs. Rakhi Verma emphasized the need for self-discipline along with freedom and liberty as essential ingredients for the country’s growth and development .She also encouraged the students and the parents by spreading the message of “Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao” programme by felicitating the youngest girl child Jasnoor for her first Independence Day Celebration. The programme ended with a pledge to work towards the betterment of the country by all possible means .
