Faridabad: Sports are the integral part of the student’s life, carrying forward the belief that learning takes place outside the classroom as well, DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL NH-3 Faridabad organized an Intramural Volleyball Tournament for boys of class XI and XII and ThrowBall tournament for girls in the school premises on 5th May 2016.
The importance of games and sports can never be minimized. They are good exercises and help to build fine physique and make one mentally alert and it gives a necessary break from the everyday monotonous life and brings a sense of cooperation and team spirit. The motto of the competition was to instill values like healthy competition, rivalry and loyalty among the students.
The tournaments started with full fervor at 9:30 a.m. in the morning. The Principal Ms. Jyoti Dahiya along with the chief guest Mr. Vimal Prakash, Assistant Professor Govt. Collge Tigaon Faridabad. Mr. Vimal Prakash encouraged the students to play games regularly and also shared some tips on physical fitness for the students and teachers.
All the teachers wished good luck to the players. The audience witnessed various matches played by the Volley Ball team of Boys and Throw Ball team of girls. The matches were amazingly well played with full energy and sports spirit. Players were encouraged and cheered by one and all present there. The Finale of Volleyball was won by the boys of XII E .On the other hand, Girls power surged through the winning of Throw Ball Finale by XII C (Girls).All the victorious players were awarded with trophies by the end of the event. Crowd watched the game in rapt attention and anticipation as well as motivated the players with thunderous applause and cheering. Finally, the School Principal took the opportunity to thank all those who participated and volunteered in making the ceremony a success.
