L&T- FBD, special initiative: Summer Camps for BPL students

Faridabad/ Alive News: Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Faridabad- Nai Umang (Prayas Trust) has initiated free Summer Camps on fun and workshops in Digital Media, Yoga, Craft and Paintings for BPL students in Okhla slum area, Delhi during May 28th to June 27th , 2018. The programme was inaugurated by R. Sitaraman, DGM-Project Implementation and Administration, Sangita Dutta Das Senior member of PHD family welfare foundation. Other senior from PHD family welfare foundation were also present during the inauguration ceremony.

During this, DGM R. Sitaraman said the motive of the camp is to develop habits to keep them fit and healthy and learn digital technology with play. Sitaraman said the summer camp will start with Yoga session at 9 am every day followed by Digital Media training, Drawing and Games etc. up to 1 pm. Breakfast will also be provided during the session at 9:45 am.

Sitaraman said to enhance the strength of economically weaker section girls and women, Nai Umang- Prayas Trust, L&T, Faridabad  started various free vocational courses i.e. Beautician and Tailoring, Cooking Course, Television & Digital Media during 2017-18.  The vocational programmes provide vocational skills to the needy people for self-empowerment. Many of our beneficiaries have either joined export houses / started their own Beauty Parlour and tailoring centres, he stated.
