MRIU launches Mitsubishi Factory Automation Lab in collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric India  

Faridabad/ Alive News:  In its efforts to provide high quality trained manpower to the industry, Manav Rachna has always believed in imparting education that is customized to suit industry’s demands. By collaborating with Mitsubishi Electric India (MEI) for launching the Mitsubishi Factory Automation Lab here today. The launch comes in the wake of the signing of an Agreement between MRIU and MEI to supplement the existing MoU signed way back in 2013.

The Mitsubishi Factory Automation Lab was launched by Mr Makoto Yokoyama, Director, Mistsubishi Electric India and Head of Factory Automation & Industrial Division (FAID) in the gracious presence of Dr Amit Bhalla, Vice President, MREI; Dr Sanjay Srivastava, MD, MREI and VC, MRIU; Dr M.K. Soni, Executive Director & Dean, FET, MRIU; Mr Hiroshi Kitamura, General Manager, Factory Automation Centre, MEI; among other Senior dignitaries and guests.

The day began with a fruitful interactive session in which Mr Makoto Yokoyama interacted with the students and spoke at length on MEI’s products and services, its CSR initiatives based on its corporate mission to further its ties with educational institutions in India. Students were mesmerized by the sheer wealth of information and Mitsubishi’s proactive role in reaching out to the education sector and providing the wherewithal and technical support to help students evolve as global citizens of the future.

Speaking at the launch of the Lab, Dr Amit Bhalla, Vice President, MREI, said, “We are delighted with the fact that MEI members have added Manav Rachna as a part of the MEI family. We hope both Manav Rachna and MEI will work together as a family for eternity. It is heartening to note that our students have worked hard and qualified among the top 35 Teams participating in the MEI Cup. We hope their untiring efforts will bring rich accolades for the Institution.”

Expressing great pleasure at the launch, Mr Makoto Yokoyama, Director, MEI and Head of FAID remarked, “This initiative will help in the skilling of Manav Rachna’s students especially in the light of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative and give passouts the exposure to automation products and industry” He was also deeply impressed by Manav Rachna’s state-of the-art infrastructure and labs to help keep students abreast of the latest trends and technology.
