MRU will be partnering First International Smart Cities

Faridabad: Manav Rachna University is one of the partner institutions of the First International Smart Cities in Smart Regions 2016 Conference which will take place from May 10–12, 2016 in the Sibelius Hall, Lahti, Finland. The Conference is being organized by the Lahti University of Applied Sciences in co-operation with a number of international, national and regional partners and operators. The Conference will offer an excellent meeting, networking and discussion forum and bring together thinkers, planners and practitioners from the academic world, business and public sector.  Three main themes would be highlighted at the Conference, namely, Future Region Development, Citizens and Urban Sustainability and Smart Industry and Innovations.

While Prof. (Dr) Sanjay Srivastava, MD MREI and VC MRU & Honorary Research Fellow, Lahti University of Applied Sciences, Finland, would be delivering the theme keynote on ‘Changing Paradigms of Psychological Constructs, Wellbeing and Social Cohesion’ in the session ‘Citizens and Urban Sustainability’ on 10th May, Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, VC MRIU would deliver his talk on the topic ‘Role and Impact of HEIs in Regional Development’ under the ‘Future Development of Regions’ theme on the same day. Ms. Sanjana Malhotra, HoD Department of Electronics & Communication Engg., MRU and Ms.  Meena Kapahi, Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, MRU would also make their presentations at the event.
