One death from Prostate Cancer in every 18 minutes: Dr. Darshan

prostate cancerFaridabad: Prostate cancer is generally found in western countries, but now it is spreading gradually its foot in India, resulting one death is confirm in every 18 minutes in the country. This disease usually occurs in people over 60 years. Around 2.82 lakh cancer patients were treated in 2014, in which nearly 28 thousand people died owing of this disease. This information was shared by NCR’s specialist urologist Dr. Darshan Kumar Sharma in a press conference that was held in RG Stone Urology and Laparoscopy Hospital’s compound.

          Briefing to media about the disease Dr. Sharma said the new patient of prostate cancer is confirmed in every 2.1 minutes in India and because of this disease at least one patient dies in every 18 minutes.  He said treatment of this disease is possible now. One blood test of P.S.A. is known about the condition of the disease. Prior to treat the disease by removing the testicles through surgery and drug was given to reduce hormones, but it was a higher risk of heart disease and osteoporosis. But now the cure is possible by laparoscopy, he said.

He further said its symptom is commonly known as quickly urination, forced to pee again and again, Pee intermittent to come, Drip dripping even after urinating and bleeding from urine or sperm. Dr Sharma advised to vegetarian diet to protect from B.P.H. He said to avoid fatty foods and alcohol.
