Solo Dance Competition holds in DAV, NH3

Faridabad/ Alive News: To make children realize that Dancing is a tool to release daily stress,a distraction from everyday worries and an outlet for imagination and emotions, DAV- NH3, organised a SOLO DANCE COMPETITION for classes 6 to 8 on 4th August, 2017. It was sponsored by ‘TATA’ Cycles. All the participants were too energetic and enthusiastic to show their talent and movements. The judges for the event were, Anjali Singh and Vandini. Anjali Singh has been working as a Dance Teacher in DAV College. She is a recipient of National Award in Classical Dance three times. Vandini has been working as a Dance teacher in DAV Sector 49. She is a BHARATNAYAM DANCER. Dancing helps a person relieve anxiety, depression. It helps one develop strength and endurance from an early age. It contributes to the development of a child’s confidence and bravery and encourages them to search for new challenges to conquer. Dancing not only reduces obesity but it’s a fun source of exercise too. All the participants expressed their emotions and creativity comfortably. Their moves were too soft to attract anybody’s attention.

During this, Jatin of Class VIII-A and Angelina of Class VI-C won everybody’s heart and stood 1st and 2nd respectively. The ‘TATA’ bicycles they were awarded with were sponsored by Kumar Cycles.

The School Principal, Jyoti Dahiya thanked the music department for making the event a success. Addressing the children, she stated that dance is a good source of fun exercise for children, it is also a creative outlet. She said that the opportunity to release creativity is as important as exercising. The Principal appreciated the efforts of our Dance Teacher, Mukta Kalia , who helped the children in bringing out their best.
The event came to an end with the chanting of the ‘Shantipath’.
