YMCA University conducted Blood donation camp

Faridabad/ Alive News: The NSS and Youth Red Cross wing of YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) organised a voluntary blood donation camp in University premises today. The camp started at 9.30 am, which was formally inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar. He welcomed the medical team and motivated volunteers. Suman Bala, Mayor, Faridabad Municipal Corporation along with councillor Dhanendra Adlakha also visited the camp and motivated volunteers.
The Vice-Chancellor Dr. Dinesh Kumar congratulated the Dr. Pradeep Dimri, Director, Youth Affairs and his team for the successfully organizing the blood donation camp and appreciated the activities carried out by them for social cause. The Vice-Chancellor said that donating blood is a noble cause and inculcates the feeling ‘Joy of Giving’ in youth. He emphasised on the importance of inculcating social responsibilities among students and encouraged them to donate blood.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sharma, Registrar of the University, thanked all the officials BVP for their support for conducting the blood donation camp. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Dimri informed that more than 250 volunteers among the students, faculty and staff members participated voluntarily in the camp and donated blood. Donors were also awarded with certificates from District Red Cross Society. The event was coordinated by Dr. Sonia Bansal, President, Cultural Affairs.
